Hello everyone, I am Chris Miller of Spiked Studios and better known as IdoNotes on over 300 social networks. I will be live with the TPN team at CES 2014 covering the tech that makes your daily life easier.
I will be focusing this year on wearable tech like smart watches, portable power to home automation. I focus on how technology is useful from the eyes of you, the consumer, not vendor hype.
I have already begun reviewing some of the new technology you will find at CES 2014, courtesy of some of the companies that will be present. You can also subscribe to and see all the product reviews from Spiked Studio.
Feel free to connect with me across any social network as IdoNotes.
Hello everyone, this is Don Baine, The Gadget Professor. I am very excited about going back to cover CES 2014 with the Tech Podcast Network. Without question the “Live Broadcast” produced by the TPN.tv team is the best overall coverage out there. No one else will provide you with 24/7 news, interviews, and the latest and greatest from CES 2014!
Not only will we be providing you with a new product interview every 10 minutes, we will also have several experienced media crews walking the show room floor and doing on the spot interviews with the product specialists right at their booth. We also will be broadcasting up to date coverage after the show closes daily.
I remember watching the TPN team in 2008 thinking “I have to do that next year”. So I did. Since then, I have been going to the Consumer Electronics Show to interview, review products, and have fun learning about whats out there.
Geekazine has been covering new technology and startup technology for over 6 years. I am always excited to head out to events such as CES to get the scoop on what’s happening in technology.
What We Will See in 2014 – Wearable Technology
4k televisions will be a major draw at CES. Especially with Netflix and YouTube testing the 4k streaming market. I also am expecting the tablet and smartphone market to continue with new apps and accessories to make home living even easier.
But more important, I am expecting wearable technology to be a big impact. So much that I will be wearing my Google Glass throughout CES 2014. When I’m not on camera, you will get a host of pictures and video at events and on the show floor.
Thank You For Being Part of Our Coverage!
Thanks to all the people who helped cover our trip through the crowdfund. If you would still like to help out, let us know! Use the donate buttons to the right.
I’m Todd Cochane of Geek News Central. I am also the CEO of RawVoice the parent company of TPN.tv and the Tech Podcast Network. This will be my 9th year covering International CES and as always I am excited to be at the show. Take a few minutes and watch the video to get some background on me and the team that will be coming to cover CES.
I’m Daniel J. Lewis, award-winning podcaster, podcast consulting, and Internet entrepreneur. This will be my second time cover the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Now that I’ve attended once before, I know a lot more of what to expect and what kind of stuff to share.
We—independent content creators—also love to consume media, so I will look for the technology that will enhance your own entertainment and education through technology.
Since we’re all geeks, I’ll also watch for the cool gadgets that you would love to have.
Hi, I’m Jamie Davis, the Podmedic, host of the MedicCast, the Nursing Show, and the Health Tech Weekly podcast and coming up this January I’ll be joining the Internatinoal CES 2014 coverage team from the Tech Podcast network for the third year, focusing on medical technology and digital health products. Together with the other tech podcast network hosts, we’ll be covering CES 2014 so you’ll feel as if you were there yourself!
The digital health pavilion is nearly 40% larger this year and I’m going to be even busier than I was last year with getting all of the great health, wellness and fitness items covered. But I plan on doing it. I love new technologies in health care and even more, I love bringing the best of them to you! As a nurse and a paramedic, from the ProMed Network, TPN’s sister network, I bring the viewpoint of the health professional to the various medical, health and fitness devices and services presented at the show. I’ve already picked out some amazing standout health care gadgets to show to you as part of the TPN coverage and I’m going to be looking for more as I roam this huge event.
Make sure you follow my picks and coverage over at HTWeekly.com and the Tech Podcasts Network live CES 2014 coverage over at TPN.tv during the show where our entire CES team will be bringing you the best, the most innovative, and newest tech gadgets to you LIVE! This week, the crew from F5 Live: Refreshing Technology are the guest bloggers. They cover the games and the geek culture side of CES! Stay tuned for the new Donald Trump Backer Level!
We’re well into the TPN.tv crowdfund program and it’s been great to see the outpouring of support from those who have already backed our team’s coverage of International CES 2014!
I’m Nicholas DiMeo from F5 Live: Refreshing Technology, one of the shows attending CES as part of th Tech Podcast Network. A big shout-out goes out to each and every one of you who have already backed our endeavor this year. For those who are curious and want to know more about what TPN is and what we do each year in Vegas, I hope this update will further clarify our efforts and explains how our coverage increases in popularity with each apssing year.
Co-hosted by my very good friend Scott Ertz, F5 Live is a one-hour weekly broadcast about gadget, Internet, gaming and media news that is relevant to you. We break down the sometimes confusing and fast-paced world of technology to make it easy for anyone to know why a press release or change in policy matters. However, when we hit the floor of CES with our cameras, we’re looking for the most unique, clever and creative products and ideas and do our very best to showcase them to you.
This year is no different as Eureka Park, the start-up section at CES, has expanded to over 200 entrepreneurs and startups and has taken over several halls in the Venetian hotel. Last year we had the most fun covering the up-and-coming products that we’re now seeing launch this holiday season, so it’s only more exciting to us that we’ll have more to look at this time around.
My team and I are also really amped to cover the debut of the Gaming Showcase TechZone in the South Hall. With all of the best press outlets in the world all in one space, the Consumer Electronics Associations has now given gaming manufacturers a permanent place to show off the latest trends, new gaming accessories and ground-breaking peripherals. With over 10,000 square feet dedicated to gaming and with companies like AMD, Logitech, Intel, Nvidia, Sony and Orbotix all in attendence, anyone from the casual gamer to the hardcore enthusiast will not want to miss out on TPN’s coverage this year. This is a new console launch year, which means consumers will need to decide whether to spend money on new hardware, keep what they have, or maybe look at their PC to simply upgrade that instead.
And this is why our CES coverage really is unmatched. A team of 20-plus with varied interests in the many different aspects that reside within the Consumer Electronics Show make up the perfect recipie for you, the consumer and viewer. All of it comes together to make sure you don’t miss a single thing and you’ll be able to make an informed decision to purchase or not by the people that are passionate about the group of products you’re seeing.
That being said, we need your support. With your hard-earned dollars, you’ll become not only a financial backer in our efforts, but an integral part of our team. You’ll help us do what we absolutely love to do, which is covering cool tech products and to tell the world about them. If you’re still unsure about funding our team, I would encourage you to check out all of the updates from our other TPN team members.
You can also help by sharing this campaign with anyone who you might think would want to see the great coverage at TPN.tv. By using Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIN or even Google+, or by using the hashtags #crowdfund and #CESTPN, you’ll be helping us simply by spreading the word. If you’re already a backer, then I sincerely thank you for your support and I hope you enjoyed my insight into what I’m looking forward to this year at CES 2014. Stay tuned, because there’s more updates from us leading all the way to flying into Vegas.
Our founder of TPN, Todd Cochrane, resides in Hawaii and has always called our listeners and viewers our “Ohana,” Hawaiian for “family.” With this campaign, I look forward to welcoming each and every one of you into our Ohana, and together, TPN can continue our CES coverage for our family to enjoy.
If you prefer a video rendition of this post, albeit condensed, check this out.
Lastly, here’s one of my favorite interviews my team has done and is an excellent demonstration of the work we do here at TPN. You’ll see that down below the backer level update. I again thank you for your support and for reading my update.
We heard that Donald Trump’s team is reviewing all FundAnything projects and helping with some of them. Therefore, we added a special Trump backer level:
Right now we have plans to stay downtown to save a few $$. However, we would be more than happy to not only stay at Trump Towers, but also do some video at the Hotel/Casino. Interviews with staff and possibly yourself during CES.
You will also get hourly ads for Trump Towers (or another property of yours) during the live stream all week. Your ads will also be on post-produced content.
You will get 20 TPN @ CES T-shirts and personal podcast time with Jeffrey Powers and Todd Cochrane.
If you want to inquire about getting a special backer level made, Contact Todd.
Thanks to everyone that has backed our project so far!
This week, Cherie Cochrane shows us what she sees as a member of the CES team. Cherie is the business administrator of the group – keeping the schedule moving like a well oiled machine. Also we’ll find out about a special backer level for a discount on the T-shirt!
Ever wondered why a non-tech grandma would volunteer to work 12 hours a day in a booth at CES in Vegas? The answer: the chance to help share the excitement of all the latest and greatest tools with you the viewer.
Coming from a farm in Michigan, this week is a nice release from the cold Michigan winter. Yet I’m not here to play – I’m here to help find the best companies to interview at CES.
I want to thank everyone that has supported CES 2014 action. We are asking those who haven’t to please help support this very expensive project that we love to do for you. We want to continue to provide you with this wonderful coverage and will be so grateful for your contribution toward our effort. By the way—If you watch closely you may even get a glimpse of me behind the scenes.
This week we’re adding a $15 T-shirt backer level. This is a great chance to get a T-shirt and help us reach our $5,000 goal. Of course, this level is also going to get a link on the backers page. Only 20 of these available for the next couple weeks, so pull the trigger now using this link!
If you have a podcast, this is a great way to get exposure! The $100 level gets you special mention on the Live Stream. 30 seconds with call-to-action. Your link will also be under “media supporter” Let your podcast be known by the thousands that watch our live stream action!
Special Request Backer Level?
Do you want to see a specific donation level? If so, let us know! We’ll put it in the list!

Thanks again to everyone that has helped kickstart this crowdfund! The $5,000 goal helps us cover travel and hotel. So feel free to re-back a level. After all – TPN @ CES T-shirts make great holiday gifts!
This is the second update to the TPN.TV crowdfund initiative for TPN @CES. This week, Jamie Davis of Health Tech Weekly talks about the health pavilion at CES. Jamie first joined us as a camera person at CES 2012. We found multiple health related products and the introduction of their health row that year. Since then, Jamie, Chris and Anne head up the healthcare side of TPN.TVs coverage.
It’s week 2 of our TPN.tv crowdfund!
I’m Jamie Davis, the host of the Health Tech Weekly podcast and I want to thank you all for helping our efforts to bring CES to you. The funding effort is moving along and we are all excited about the response. If you’re following this campaign and wondering what our videos do, I thought you might want an example of how our programs help people buy gifts, save their money, and even stay healthier.
My show Health Tech Weekly at HTWeekly.com is all about new and upcoming technology that helps people stay and get healthy, either through new, innovative medical devices or fitness tools and apps. CES has a growing digital health pavilion that brings the latest in medical and health technology to the CES attendees.
I’m really excited to get there and bring you my reports from the booths in the South Hall at CES 2014.
As a nurse and a journalist, I was encouraged by all of the health tech items at CES 2013. Last year I saw a bunch of wearable fitness products and mobile apps that help remind people to stay fit and healthy as well as track their progress towards fitness goals. There were also several “brain training” programs for the elderly to help improve memory and slow mental decline in progressive dementia patients.
This year (CES 2014) I expect the wearable fitness boom to continue with new products coming out from existing platforms like Fitbit as well as new sensor technology to allow these devices to detect even more about our health and well being while we’re on the go. There are also going to be more technology options looking at helping our growing elderly population keep healthy as well as get better after an injury or medical episode. I’ll be bringing that coverage to all of you right from the show floor in special video segments I shoot this coming year at CES.
All of our video interviews and product reviews from the TPN.tv team give folks the chance to see some of the top, most innovative consumer electronics products before they ever hit the store shelves (or the links online). This advance information gives people the chance to make some intelligent choices about the electronic devices they are buying or thinking of buying. Should you buy now or wait for the next, upcoming innovation in a product line? That’s why I do what I do — to inform people about what’s out there, especially in the health care space.
Who else is an important part of that equation? You! With your support as a financial backer, you help us get an important job done. I love what I do and I want to thank you for your support! If you’re on the fence and can’t decide whether to support us yet, I urge you to keep coming back and checking in with our updates here at this page.
While you’re at it, share this campaign with folks you know via social media, on Facebook, Twitter or Google+. Use the hash tags #crowdfund and #CES when you do and help us out just by spreading the word.If you’ve already contributed, thanks. I look forward to thanking all of our contributors directly before, during and after CES, so stay tuned!
Here’s another video segment, showing one of my past interviews from CES to give you an example of the work I’ve done in the past, helping folks stay healthier with mobile fitness technology. Enjoy!
We are going to CES 2014. You can come along with us spirit and get mentioned on it. That is because TPN.TV started a Crowdfund to help raise money to help with our livestream efforts!
The Techpodcasts crew has come out to cover the Consumer Electronics Show since 2007. In 2011, we chose to add a new level of coverage by putting together a livestream booth. For the last 3 years you could watch the show as it unfolded right through TPN.TV.
2014 will be no different. This year we will add a new element – YOU!
TPN.TV Crowdfund through FundAnything.com
We chose FundAnything as our Crowdfund platform for CES action. We are looking to cover at least $5,000 of the show. This will account for plane tickets, hotel rooms and other needs (taxi, car rental, shipping, etc).
With as little as $10, you can support our efforts at CES. For $25, we will send you a nice T-shirt that says “I’m a Backer TPN@CES 2014”. These shirts are made through CafePress.
Other cool backer gifts will be coupons for 80% off a canvas photo print at Cafe Press, a PLAY 25X TV mount from Omnimount.com, podcast coach time from Jeffrey Powers and Howtorecordpodcasts.com and much more!
Help Us Meet Our Goal!
The more you help means the more we can do for this year’s coverage. We want to be your primary source for CES 2014 with our best Independent coverage. So please check out the levels and back us at what you can spare.
