Stuff was first published in Britain in November 1996 by Dennis Publishing. A bimonthly title, it followed the success of magazines such as FHM and Loaded in being pitched toward a young, male audience, with a focus on consumer goods and electronics.

The brand took a more lifestyle-orientated direction in 1998, before publishing group Haymarket bought the title in January 1999 and refocused the magazine to consumer electronics.

In May 2018, the brand was sold to Kelsey Media.[2][3]

Haymarket Media Group CEO Kevin Costello said at the time of the sale: “Stuff is a truly iconic brand, trusted by its tech-loving followers to entertain, educate, and inspire. It’s been a big part of the Haymarket story, but our strategic focus has shifted and Stuff needs a new home, where the brand can really achieve its potential.”

AM radio is mostly popular among older listeners, rural communities, and people with conservative and religious beliefs. AM radio also tends to focus on news, talk shows, sports, and weather updates, which may appeal to specific listener demographics. However, the popularity of AM radio has decreased over the years due to the rise of FM and digital radio platforms. Will this trend be enough to force the shutdown of the AM Radio band as we know it ? I hope not, but I can definitely see it happening within the next three years….

More Americans listen to the radio than use Facebook each week. 55% of Gen Z in the U.S. listen to AM/FM radio every day. Adults listen to 104 minutes of radio per day, 12.2 hours per week. Radio industry sees growth through smart speakers and online listening. 100 million Americans own a smart speaker. Radio holds the highest share of collective trust across all advertising channels. 77% of listeners would try a brand or product endorsed by their favorite radio personality. It takes 2.4 days on average for audio ad listeners to take an action. Global radio ad spend is a $36.1 billion a year market. Average cost of a radio ad in the largest U.S. cities is $513.40. 47% of listeners believe radio ads are a fair trade for their listening time.
